Wieczerzak stuns the world, Agbegnenou regains world title

Home crowd in Budapest unfortunatelly still didn't see their Hungarian athletes on the podium, nor was Japan today, but France and Germany won their first gold medals at the Worlds. On the fourth day of the 2017 Suzuki World Championships in Budapest, Clarisse AGBEGNENOU (FRA) became regained the World title of 2013 while 2010 World U21 Champion from Agadir, German Alexander WIECZERZAK won his first World title ever.

Clarisse AGBEGNENOU just couldn't wait for payback time against Olympic Champion Tina TRSTENJAK (SLO) who beat her in final of Rio Games and last World Championships in Astana. In the final of U63kg, TRSTENJAK of Slovenia just couldn't find a solution for well skilled French with tactics and phyisical skills, and the Slovenia had three shidos on her name halfway regular time which resulted in Hansokumake.

2015 World Champion, Takanori NAGASE of Japan will not remember Budapest with delight as he was litteraly being kicked out in early stage of competition, but after that, everyhing was open for the new World Champion. Extremely exhilarated WIECZERZAK (GER) had amazing day, as today he beat some huge names such as 2012 London bronze medalist VALOIS FORTIER (CAN), current European Champion KHUBETSOV (RUS), current Olympic Champion Khasan KHALMURZAEV (RUS).

In final match of the U81kg he was better against Italian MARCONCINI. After minute and fifty seconds he caught Italian and applied very nice shime waza which brought him World title.
